About 2 years ago we brought in a Malbec from Argentina named El Portillo. Priced at $7.75 but worth every bit of $12, we sold a truckload of it. Over the past couple years the price rose and sales began to drop off. The price finally stalled at $12, a very crowded price point for a Malbec.  Our featured white wine is Simi Sauvignon Blanc. It was a big hit at the Hearts for Hunger benefit we hosted. If you missed it...Aroma: Lime zest, honey dew melon, fresh grass and green fig lifted by a hint of minerality. |
