It's Been Five Years, Let's Celebrate!

It was during August 2005 that we enthusiastically took over ownership of the Bodega in downtown Conway. Since then we've doubled the size of the store, met lots of great people from all over the world, and aimed to bring you the best gourmet kitchen store possible. We thank each and everyone of you who have helped support us in our mission.

Part of growing our business involved keeping a constant flow of fresh and innovative products coming into the store. During the past 5 years we've seen thousands of new wines, foods, decorations, and kitchen gadgets come through the shop. Many of these new items became best sellers and others... well, they just didn't work out. Some of my favorite items have been here with us for the entire 5 years. To celebrate our 5 year anniversary we're going to recognize 5 product lines that we've had for the whole 5 years, by having 5 sales.

#1. Tervis Tumblers - 10% Off or Free Lid with Purchase of 2

There's a few good reasons why Tervis is at the top of our list. First, it was at the Bodega well before we were. The previous owners thought they were great too! Tervis Tumblers are sold all across the country, but they are particularly endeared by folks living in the Southeast. Our heat and humidity guarantee that wherever you find an ice cold beverage, you will also find a puddle of condensation underneath it. #2. Aspen Bay - 2 Free Votives With Purchase of a Dome

Aspen Bay dome candles are fantastic. The concept is simple, yet brilliant. It's a large candle holder filled with a soft, lightly scented wax and various materials, such as coffee or flowers. When you light the inexpensive soy votive in the center, the heat melts the surrounding wax and releases complimentary scents. Each votive will burn for hours and the dome will last for years. A couple times each week we'll hear customers laughing from our upstairs card section. Even after five years we still get a smile from hearing people laughing in an otherwise quiet store. We just look at each other and say "they must have found the cards". Eric Decetis is a hilariously talented artist who has a complete line of greeting cards for birthdays and special occasions. So if you need a good card or just a good laugh, stop in and take a look at what he has to offer.

Over the last 5 years, we've earned a reputation for having some of the most unique and well priced wines in the county. Among our selection of over 100 great wines, there is one that we will always hold dear, Nivole. 2010 has been a breakout year for the Moscato varietal, it's finally getting the recognition it deserves. However, thanks to Nivole and the Bodega, Conway was well ahead of the curve on this wine trend. Our sales rep once told us that we sold more Nivole than any account in the entire state, not bad for a little boutique wine shop from Conway. Now we carry a nice selection of Moscatos, but Nivole will always be our darling.

We love our coffee and so do many of our customers. Whether you like dark roast or light, decaf or regular, flavored or natural; we're sure you'll enjoy at least one of the eighteen styles we offer. We understand that people are very particular about their daily coffee, and changing that is not an easy task. With this in mind, we're measuring out just enough for a perfect 10 cup pot and giving it away for you to try. Just come in and mention this email for your free pot of coffee.
